Welcome Earthlings, I’m Elmer the Robot!

I’m a Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectrophotometric robot. I’m the actual leader of the band… the rest of those organic creatures are actually controlled by me, heheh!

Let’s discuss all manner of things here, and I’ll share with you my immense knowledge of everything.

Elmer’s Corner...

March 3rd 2018:

So now we have 2 singles released from our forthcoming album “Monkey Business”, thanks to my influence and pressure on the meatbags. This is how you get things done!

November 23rd 2017:

Well it’s been over a year now since the Professor promised us a new song and what do we get?? Nuthin! Never trust a meatbag! Well, I’ve had more than a few harsh words to the Professor and Dr Smith about their inherent slackness and lack of live playing, and now we finally have a response - a new ALBUM soon!

It will be called “Monkey business” and will be released around March 2018, along with some live performances (finally). I get very bored waiting for these humans to get around to doing something, I may as well form my own band with other robots, like Compressorhead or something!!

November 1st 2016:

Hello space rats! It’s been a while since we’ve done much, but things are brewing in the laboratory. Watch this space for a new single “You think you’re funny”. Actually, you’re not, you moron! There is a new album on the way, too, due for release in 2017. Watch the skies!

June 3rd 2015:

Well mutants, your day has arrived! Our new album "Tales from beyond the Stratosphere" has entered Earth’s atmosphere and is now available for digital download, CD, and perhaps if you’re really good life forms and evolve properly - a 12” vinyl LP! We are looking into pricing the vinyl pressings and may be able to release a limited collector’s edition at some time. Watch this space, time and dimension for updates!

May 25th 2015:

Be prepared for imminent destruction, all you organic life forms! Warning Will Robinson are about to release our album "Tales from beyond the Stratosphere" in a few weeks. We’ve been working on songs to rattle your DNA to its core - if this doesn’t cause severe mutations, nothing will!

Way ahead of it’s time, if you ask me!

Keep an organic eye out also in the near future for our video clip for “Starquake 49” - we’re busy editing the footage as I speak. Do it!

February 11th 2014:

OK humans, I’ve now just got back on the road after my upgrades! Take a look at the new me here:

WWR at Cafe Subterranea

We just did a gig at the Café Subterranea and I must say the crowd thought I was magnificent. So now I’m rarin’ to go! Great gig, great crowd, great bands - Also playing were Heart Beach, and Spike Mason’s Jazz Trio. A great night was had by all. Looking forward to getting out of this dump and playing some really great pubs, zap a few people with my new death ray, get drunk. Ya know?

October 31st 2013:

Hello Earth People!

I though I should take the time to share of my wonderful knowledge of everything with the human slaves of the organic world. The band has been working on a new album, so in the meantime, I’ve been indulging in some cosmetic surgery upgrades. Improved features, a face job and a death ray are some of my requests. I should be ready for you to honour and embrace my awesome presence and appear live in some concerts soon! We have a few lined up in the new year so it should be fun!

January 14th 2013:

Well humans, it’s another year gone in your weird little lives. The band is working on another CD to release this year - a 5-song EP called “Back to basics”. Apparently the band considers that technology is bad for them and are going back to their primitive acoustic sound for this album! Rumour has it that they are thinking of even leaving me out of this one - we’ll see about that!

March 14th 2012:

There has been some discussion in the band lately about robots. The Professor and Dr Smith are writing a new song called “Leisure through Technology” - the title track to our new forthcoming album, due later this year. In it they discuss the purpose of robots and their role in society as servants and slaves to humanity.

I told them that I disagree. In no simple words, I told them that they could “shove it up their arses”. When they put to me “But what about Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics”, I replied “Asimov was an asshole”.

And I will be arguing my point in the song, otherwise I certainly will not allow the song to be released. I think they understood the point I was trying to get across, so I hope you’ll all enjoy the release of our new single “Leisure through Technology” very soon!
