WARNING WILL ROBINSON began in the middle of 1981 as a result of three High School acquaintances - Graham Meredith, Matthew Moss and Colin McClure - meeting and becoming friends at University, and Craig Clarke, a friend of Matthew. Warning Will Robinson's first album is a collection of songs when they were first learning to play their instruments, from their very first recorded song "Bossanova a' la piano", where they could barely play, to "The Arrowboys" (where they could play only a little better !). The Album also highlights the band's development of their recording techniques, the first songs being badly played into a portable cassette recorder of bad quality. All of the songs were played directly into cassette players live, with no overdubs. The quality of the recording equipment and recordings improves as the album progresses.
